Final call for Precinct Rep nominations

The call for nominations for Precinct Reps is open until close of business on Friday, October 2. Nominations can be made by completing the online Nomination Form. Union members can nominate themselves. If you are not sure about your precinct, please contact the union office.

The election will be held October 7-16.  Due to the continuing pandemic, the votes will be tallied electronically. Please be sure that our union has your current email address. You can send an email to AFT 2121 (aft@aft2121.org).

Our endorsed candidate for State Senator, Jackie Fielder, is running to represent working-people in Sacramento. She is unabashedly pro-public education and will be a powerful voice for racial and economic justice in these times!

Join the Voluntary Sick Leave Bank!

The VSLB is a bank of voluntary contributions of sick leave that come from participating faculty members’ accrued sick leave days/hours. VSLB provides income protection in the case of catastrophic illness or injury.

Additionally, contributors to the VSLB provide vital support for colleagues who experience a catastrophic illness or injury and are unable to work. This is an especially important resource during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You will be eligible to enroll in the sick leave bank until December 18, 2020. If you are already enrolled, your contribution will automatically be deducted from your sick leave.
