Petition delivery action last Friday, Jan. 14

Last Friday, a delegation of AFT 2121 leaders surprised Chancellor Martin with a visit to Conlan Hall before his Flex Day meetings. Your union leaders asked him about his plans for layoffs, his support (or lack therefore) for the CCSF Revenue Unity Coalition, and his commitment to key Return to Campus issues such as building monitors.

His answers were disappointing, so we’ve decided to make them public to encourage the Trustees to step up and lead. Watch, like, and share the latest video here (TwitterInstagram, & Facebook), and stay tuned for more this week.

(1/25) Delegate Assembly & COPE

All AFT 2121 members are invited to participate in your Committee on Political Education (COPE) and Delegate Assembly (DA) meetings Tuesday, 1/25/22 from 1:30-3pm (COPE) and 3-5pm (DA).

To attend either of these meetings, follow this link from your computer or smartphone OR call 1-669-900-6833 then follow the prompts to enter the meeting ID #810 1671 8065 and password: 783119.

Two delegates have proposed a discussion and vote on an addition to our AFT 2121 Constitution. If the DA passes it, it would then move on to consideration by our whole membership in our Spring elections.

The proposal reads as follows:

Article XIII Committees

Section 1. There shall be the following Special Committees of the Union: Grievance, Budget and Membership. Members of these committees and any other committees shall be appointed by the President with the approval of the Executive Board, with the exception of the Election Committee, the Full-timer Committee, and the Part-timer Committee.

Section 4. There shall be a standing Full-timer Committee. Membership is open to any Union members in good standing.

You can find the full AFT 2121 Constitution and Bylaws here.

You can send for free covid tests

Four free covid tests per household are now available at covidtests.gov
