Return to Campus Feedback Needed Now! | Support UC Student Researchers Union | NO Recall

CALLING ALL FACULTY WHO ARE WORKING IN-PERSON! YOUR RETURN TO CAMPUS TEAM NEEDS TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Good or bad, we need to hear about your experiences being on campus.

Are there signs up outside your room notifying students, staff, and faculty what the COVID protocols are? Is social distancing clearly marked in your workspace? Is the ventilation adequate? Are masks being worn? Do you know who your building monitor is and are you satisfied with their oversight? Is the District ensuring that your room is being regularly sanitized? What concerns or positive experiences should other union members know about?

Your Return to Campus Team is continuing to meet with the administration to share your concerns on workplace safety and ensure that our college’s return to campus is safe for students, staff, and faculty. If you’re working in-person right now, it’s imperative that your Return to Campus team hear about any issues, so that we can work together to ensure they’re promptly addressed. It’s also important, if your return has gone well, that we share your positive feedback with Alberto Vasquez and his Facilities Dept as they prepare college buildings for in-person work.

Share your concerns and/or feedback on this form: https://bit.ly/SafeCCSFPlease also send this form to any faculty you know who have returned to in-person work.

Not all buildings are prepared for in-person work at this stage, but Vice Chancellors Boegel and Vasquez have assured us that they are assigning in-person faculty to safe, well-ventilated spaces. They’ve also assured us that a building monitor system is in place, and that departmental safety plans and general COVID safety protocols are being followed. See departmental safety plans here and see your bargaining team’s August 2020 COVID Impacts Agreement here.

If you’re interested in joining our Return to Campus Team, please email Rhea Dellimore at rheadellmail@yahoo.com.

NO recall

The Recall Race for the Governor is close. Many of you are already stepping up to stop the Republican-funded, anti-union effort to recall Governor Newsom. If successful this could roll back progress in every conceivable area: public education, labor rights, minimum wage, criminal justice, climate justice, and more.

Please do all you can to get on the phonebanks and join precinct walks this weekend and early next week! Walks will begin at 10 am. Location information will be sent out as it is planned. The election is Tuesday, September 14.
