Eligibility to run and vote in April/May Union elections

AFT 2121 elections for officers, Executive Board, precinct reps, and delegates for the 2020/22 term will be held this April and May.

To be eligible to vote, you must be a member of AFT 2121 and currently paying Union dues.

If you are not a member, join AFT now!
If you are a part-timer with no assignment, you retain recall rights for 4 semesters. During that time, you can retain your union membership by paying “on leave” dues of $5.00 per month. Please send $15.00 (3 months) to AFT 2121.
Faculty on unpaid leave need to pay “on leave” dues of $5.00 per month. Please send $15.00 (3 months) to AFT 2121.

Prospective candidates can file an Officer/Executive Board nomination form or a Precinct Rep nomination form with the Secretary Dayna Holz, (dholz@aft2121.org) by Friday, March 20, 2020, by 5:00 p.m. at the Union office or be nominated from the floor at the March membership meeting on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. The nomination form must be signed by five members in good standing, or
Nominations can be made from the floor at the Tuesday, March 24, 2020 membership meeting, Ocean Campus, MUB 261, 3:00 – 5:00pm. Nomination form should be mailed or delivered to: election officer AFT 2121, 311 Miramar Ave., San Francisco, CA 94112 to arrive in the office by 5:00pm on Thursday, March 19, 2020.
Department chairs and program supervisors may not serve as officers, executive board members, or precinct representatives. Otherwise, all members who have been in good standing for at least one year are eligible to run for President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Rep-at-Large on the Executive Board, and/or as representatives of their precincts.
