(by 8/20 @ 2pm) Evaluate Rocha | (8/22) #RedForEd t-shirt day | (8/23, 8/27) AFT meetings | July pay

(8/20/19, 2pm deadline) Evaluate Chancellor Rocha

The CCSF Board of Trustees has solicited input about the Chancellor for an annual evaluation. This process should have started in April (as per BP 1.24), but instead was initiated the week before the Fall 2019 semester is set to begin.

Our Academic Senate President is working on a short timeline and was sent the following list of questions to answer. AFT2121 is encouraging faculty to participate in this valuable feedback opportunity, to solicit your input to help answer these questions with a collective voice.

Please fill out this form to evaluate the Chancellorby 2pm on Tuesday, 8/20. You may need to be logged in to google to use the form.

Please answer to the best of your ability. All answers will be kept in the strictest confidence, and this information will be summarized into one submission on behalf of the faculty.

(8/22/19) Public comment Board of Trustees meetings & #RedForEd t-shirt day

On Friday, we wore #RedForEd, held signs, sang protest songs, and danced together to demonstrate our united opposition to even more lost classes and in protest of chronic and deliberate underfunding of education that plagues our city, our state, and our country.

What’s next?

1) We urge all AFT 2121 faculty to wear a red AFT 2121 t-shirt or something else that’s red for CCSF #RedForEd day every fourth Thursday of the month to coincide with the CCSF Board of Trustees meeting.

2) We need to keep expressing our opposition to the downsizing of our college! Please plan to join us for public comment at the next Board of Trustees meeting on Thursday, 8/22 in Conlan Hall room 101, time TBA.

(August 2019) Wrong Pay for July Assignments; Expect August Retro

In June, administration told us they were on track to implement the July rates on time. From what we’ve seen it looks like they succeeded for base pay for faculty working full-time.
But even though we had agreed on the payscales a year ago, administration didn’t manage to implement the new rates for the other payscales. That means summer assignments for faculty working part-time and those working full-time overload were paid at the June rates. They tell us they’re working on it now, and that August pay should be correct. Faculty who had July assignments should expect a retro on their August paycheck.
For other pay issues, talk to your precinct rep. Please also fill out this form. It reports automatically to CCSF payroll and also to AFT 2121.
