AFT 2121 Leadership Elections
Every 2 years, we elect faculty who are members in good standing of our union to positions of leadership. Nominations for all Officer, Executive Board, Labor Council and AFT Convention delegate and Precinct Rep positions must be:
- submitted to the AFT office by Friday, March 16, 2018, or
- made from the floor of our AFT 2121 General Membership meeting at the Ocean Campus in MUB #140 on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 3:00-5:00pm. Full details on elections…
College for All: Let’s make all California colleges FREE
Imagine if all of our California colleges were free! We’re working with CFT, SF Rising, the CCSF Solidarity Committee, and others to put a measure on the November ballot that would create an estate tax on the wealthiest 0.2% of Californians and make tuition free at all the Community Colleges, CSUs and UCs statewide. Do you want to help make California Higher Education free?
- Drop by our College for All table on Ocean Campus at Ram Plaza (between the Cafeteria and the Student Union Building) on Mon. 3/12, Tues. 3/13, Wed. 3/14, or Thurs. 3/15 between 11-1pm to sign the petition.
- Make an announcement in your classes or invite a student to present in your classes. Contact Celi Tamayo-Lee at SF Rising (celi@sfrising.org / 415-336-0615).
Petitions are at at our AFT 2121 office. Reach out to AFT 2121 Organizer Athena Waid (awaid@aft2121.org / 406-531-0503) if you need some. The deadline to return them is Tuesday, April 24.

Supervisor Jane Kim worked with our Union to champion the Prop W campaign and to make Free City College real. Now she’s running for Mayor of San Francisco and she needs our help. AFT 2121 is joining with the Jane Kim for Mayor team to hit the streets.
